Readable. Calm. Aligned with how Believer One is built: local, minimal, respectful.

Overview

Believer One is a macOS menu bar application for prayer times and related features. This policy explains what information is involved when you use the app and when you contact us through our website.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your data. We don’t run aggressive advertising analytics inside the app as part of this product philosophy. We don’t ask for more access than makes sense for prayer times, notifications, and optional audio.

Data on your Mac

Prayer settings (calculation method, offsets, notification choices, and optional manual coordinates) are stored locally on your device using standard macOS app storage. Core scheduling runs on your Mac.

Location

If you allow it, the app uses Apple’s location services to determine coordinates (and may show a nearby place name). You can deny location and enter coordinates manually. Apple’s own privacy terms apply to Location Services.

Notifications & audio

Notifications are scheduled through Apple’s frameworks. Adhan audio included in the app plays on your device according to your settings.

Website & email

If you email us (for example via a support link), we receive the content you send, typically your address, subject, and message. We use that correspondence only to help you and improve the product.

App Store & Apple

Purchases through the Mac App Store are processed by Apple. Apple may collect transaction-related data under its policies, which we do not control.

Children

Believer One is not directed at children to collect their data. If you believe we have received information from a child in error, contact us and we will address it.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app or site changes. The date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision.
